Through the Women of Distinction luncheon and awards program, presented by Atmos Energy, Girl Scouts brings together and recognizes a group of purpose-driven leaders in business, government, education, and philanthropy, who, like our girls, are dedicated to serve and leadership. The luncheon is scheduled for Friday, May 9 at The Ashton Depot.
“We are excited to honor leaders who represent so many groups from the Fort Worth community who believe in the power of girls,” says Becky Burton, Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains CEO. “The committee, led by co-chairs Kelly Biegler and Monica Carter, selected amazing women and men who our Girl Scouts can aspire to be like as they learn to give back to their communities in a positive way.”

We are Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs throughout north and west Texas and the Oklahoma panhandle, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges – whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
