For Tarrant County College District Board of Trustees, District 7
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my candidacy for Place 7 on the Board of Trustees for Tarrant County College.
TCC plays a fundamental role in meeting the educational needs of our growing county and region. I look forward to the opportunity to help lead and guide this important community asset.
Over the years I’ve worked in the business community as a commercial real estate, banking and business attorney and always dedicated time to serve the community. I’ve chaired the Boards of non-profit organizations, such as Leadership Fort Worth and Fort Worth Sister Cities International. Like TCC, these organizations aim to improve the quality of lives of residents.
As an attorney, I’ve honed skills in advocacy, negotiation, compromise and in being fair-minded. My background in commercial real estate and banking and my degree in economics will allow me to ensure that there are sound policies in place to maintain the strong finances and physical infrastructure of the College system. I believe that my experience will complement those of existing Trustees.
It will be exciting to help implement TCC’s new five-year strategic plan, known as “Trailblazing Together: 2030”. The Plan will need the guidance of Trustees who make reasoned decisions and have a proven track record in successfully implementing strategic plans.
I’m honored to have the endorsement and support of retiring TCC Trustee, Kenneth Barr, who has chosen not to seek re-election. I applaud Mr. Barr’s advocacy for TCC, his service as a Mayor of Fort Worth and his leadership roles in many other business and community organizations.
To the public: I ask that you support my campaign to be the next District 7 representative on the Board of Trustees. I humbly ask for your vote, and I commit to represent you by working hard to preserve, protect and promote Tarrant County College and its students as it builds a workforce for the future.
