The stage is set and preparations have officially started for Cristo Rey Fort Worth’s Draft

Over 70 corporate partners will join Cristo Rey Fort Worth in celebrating as their
students are drafted onto Tarrant County’s Top Corporate Teams for their 2022-2023
corporate work study program (CWSP) assignments. Cristo Rey Fort Worth students
earn half of their college prep high school tuition by working one day a week at Tarrant
County’s top businesses and organizations including the Amon Carter Museum, Baird
Financial, Baylor Scott & White, Cook Children’s Hospital, Dunaway, Finley Resources,
General Motors, GM Financial, J Taylor, Kelly Hart & Hallman, Higginbotham, Hillwood,
Meador Auto, Oncor, Pinnacle Bank, TCU, TPG, VLK Architects, and others*.
This year’s festivities will take place on Thursday, August 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey
Fort Worth College Prep, located at 2633 Altamesa Blvd, Fort Worth, TX. John
Rhadigan, television anchor for Bally Sports SW will return to kick off the event as
master of ceremonies.
Annette Landeros, President/CEO of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
will join Marc Istook, morning anchor for Daybreak, ABC affiliate WFAA’s morning news
show, and Steve Lamb of WBAP sports talk radio on the color commentary panel as
students find out where they will be working. Also on hand for the celebration will be the
Dallas ManiACCs and Mariachi Arraigo de America, who will kick-off the festivities of
this pro-sports style event.
The 38-member Cristo Rey Network of schools is an innovative educational model that
provides students a college prep education while giving them access to work
experience and career exploration in a corporate setting. Student workers underwrite
half the cost of their education by fulfilling clerical and administrative roles in a wide
range of departments such as accounting, human resources, finance, marketing,
information technology, legal, records, mail, and office services.
